Sep. 2019. Place des Jacobins is one of the loveliest and most popular places in Lyon. At least while we were there, anyway. It is a large enough square with a beautiful fountain in its centre. The square was constructed in the mid-16th century and the fountain was added in the mid-19th century. The square has had a bit of a turbulent history.
